The Ministry of Tourism says the infections at a hotel in Langkawi is not linked to a set of tourists found positive on Sept 26 and the cases are linked to related members of the staff who got infected.

News reports say (Oct 4) that a hotel was forced to close after 59 workers and their family members were infected with COVID-19.

Nevertheless, the Langkawi Tourism Bubble will continue and, “I welcome Dr Noor Hisham’s call for all Malaysians to play a role in bringing the country out of this pandemic,” says an official.
