A total of 16 foreign women aged 21 to 40 – suspected sexual workers – were arrested in a raid at a budget hotel around Bukit Bintang near here last night. The raid carried out by the Criminal Investigation Division, Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters (IPD) also confiscated various items such as condoms, lubricating gel, mobile phones and RM800 in cash.

The 16 foreign women are from a country on the African continent and all the arrested individuals are believed to be offering sex services for RM100 a session, for which they rent a room at the budget hotel at a rate of RM110 a day. They do not have valid travel documents.
