Finance Ministry: 200‑Litre BUDI95 Limit Still in Place

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has denied claims that Malaysians can apply for additional quotas under the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) subsidy. In a statement, MOF clarified that reports of increased limits are “completely untrue.” 

MOF Denies Claims of Extra BUDI95 Quotas

The ministry explained that while an application feature was introduced during the early rollout, it was intended only for specific cases such as e-hailing drivers or boat owners, subject to strict criteria. 

The button has since been disabled to prevent misuse. MOF emphasized that the monthly 200‑litre limit remains in place, sufficient for 90% of users, ensuring subsidies are fairly distributed amid global energy pressures.
