282 Arrested 261 Compounded For Violating SOP

Kuala Lumpur: For violating the SOP during the pandemic, 282 people were arrested with a total of 261 compounded while 21 others were remanded.

Senior Minister of Security Cluster, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein says a total of 112 premises covering factories, business premises and construction sites were also ordered to close.

They were found to be in breach of SOP.

“The compliance operations task force inspected 1,754 factories, 16,826 business premises, 773 construction sites and 277 hostels for workers,” he says.

There were no arrests of illegal immigrants but three land vehicles were seized yesterday through Operation Benteng apart from 909 roadblocks implemented throughout the country.
