Nearly 300 dead: Delta surge makes August Orange County’s deadliest month of the pandemic
Nearly 200 Orange County residents have been reported dead with COVID-19 over the past 10 days, making August the deadliest month during the pandemic, says Orlando Sentinel.

Despite the rapidly rising death counts — August had nearly five times the deaths of July — Orange County officials says there’s evidence that the delta variant is beginning to slow there.
