Six former Bersatu MPs, now supporting Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, believe their parliamentary seats will remain secure. Labuan MP Suhaili Abdul Rahman clarified that their support for the Madani government does not breach Bersatu’s constitution, as they did not leave the party or join another. Their memberships were terminated by Bersatu for backing Anwar.

Suhaili emphasized that their dismissal does not invoke the anti-hopping law under Article 49A of the Federal Constitution. MPs Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid, Mohd Azizi Abu Naim, Zahari Kechik, and Zulkafperi Hanapi were also present. Bersatu chief whip Ronald Kiandee has requested their seats be declared vacant.
