It seems a strange phenomenon is now happening where small children are wanting trendy branded clothes as their daily wear. This is apparently to fit in with their friends who are wearing Nike and Underarmour clothes. Back in the day, kids used to wear dinosaur t-shirts.
6-year-olds now want Nike and Underarmour clothes
A TikToker states that she is crying because her 6-year-old brother wants these branded clothes as his friends made fun of him in school. Other users state a similar thing is happening to their children as consumerism is reaching out to them.
We can see in our world today where even toddlers are wearing designer clothes. Wealthy parents are even able to obtain strollers from Dior in order to “flex” their wealth. Nike is also selling toddler shoes for around RM200-300.
