A seven-year-old boy has become the latest victim of #crocodile attack in Sabah, escaping with multiple bite wounds in the Lahad Datu district, wrote a local Sabah paper.
There have been 29 sightings of dozens of crocodiles across Sabah and this is creating a buzz in the state as well as on social media where people are asking whether it is due to deforestation or climate change.
Reports say stretched wildlife rangers seek help from villagers and police in the hunt for the reptiles and Sabah Wildlife Department director Augustine Tuuga says there were 29 sightings in various areas of the east coast Lahad Datu district. At least six were sighted in Kota Kinabalu, three in Sandakan, and at least one in Tawau.
