700 Indonesian workers died of Covid in August

There were 408 deaths of Indonesian workers in July and 700 deaths in August and most of them died in their dwellings because they were too afraid to go to government hospitals, says Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia Hermono.

He added that Indonesians in Malaysia feared arrest and deportation says the Ambassador who adds that while Malaysia’s death toll was rising in July and August, the toll among Indonesian workers was devastating.

For that matter, Indonesia has extended the temporary freeze on its workers entering Malaysia, says Malaysiakini today.
