According to Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud, chairman of the State Public Health Unity, Women and Family Development Permanent Committee, a total of 3,728,125 adults in Selangor, representing 81.9 percent of the adult population, received the Covid-19 booster dose as of March 1 under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
During the same time period, a total of 4,334,507 adults, or 95.2 percent of the state’s adult population, received the first dose and 4,315,186 adults (94.8 percent) received the second dose, and a total of 531,193 adolescents, or 93.3 percent of the adolescent population, received the first dose and 482,503 (84.8 percent) received the second dose.
In the case of children aged five to eleven years, a total of 167,388 or 22.9 percent of the state’s population had received the vaccine.
