Almost 9,500 new patients with chronic kidney disease need dialysis each year

KUALA LUMPUR – The Deputy Health Minister, Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni, expressed concern over the increasing number of chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients, with nearly 9,500 new cases requiring dialysis treatment annually. He highlighted the need for comprehensive healthcare measures, including prevention, early detection, effective risk management, and appropriate treatment.
