A flying car with a BMW engine and regular fuel? Are you kidding me? Well, the actual car, modified for flying, took off and made its first inter-city flight without problems.
AirCar, as it is known, is a dual-mode car-aircraft vehicle. The manufacturer moved closer to production this week, fulfilling a key development milestone in a 35-minute flight.
The flight took off from the international airport in Nitra to the international airport in Bratislava, Slovakia on June 28th, 2021.
See the above video to believe it. The vehicle is designed and created by Slovakian tech company Klein Vision.
It has wings that fold away in less than three minutes and a propeller at the rear. The AirCar runs on regular fuel and is equipped with a 160bhp BMW engine. No way! But, yeah, they did it.
