The two remaining attorneys for Siti Bainun Ahd Razali have resigned from the defence of the founder of Rumah Bonda in the matter of Bella’s neglect and abuse. Bella has Down syndrome. Nurul Hafidzah Hassan and Asiah Abd Jalil are the two attorneys.
Three of her five attorneys—lead defence counsel Nur A’minahtul Mardiah Md Nor, Mohammad Farhan Maaruf, and Nur Ellena Mohamed Razif—withdrew on Monday. They are all from different firms.
Siti Bainun New Lawyers coming
Having lost all five of her attorneys, the accused is currently without counsel in court. Bainun, however, declared that she will hire a new attorney and that she has sought for legal help from the National Legal Aid Foundation. The defence trial was then rescheduled on January 26 and 27.
