NILAI – A 63-year-old man facing five charges related to improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Nilai last December has died. District police chief Superintendent Johari Yahya confirmed Yeoh Hock Sun was pronounced dead at Kuala Lumpur Hospital at 8.18pm, with the cause of death identified as “Refractory Shock.”

Yeoh had pleaded not guilty to all charges, which were read to him at Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar while receiving treatment for injuries sustained in an explosion at Desa Palma. He was later found hiding in a forest near Batang Benar with burn injuries before being arrested on Dec 27.
