Acquitted killer of Pakistan social media star has no remorse

The brother of Qandeel Baloch was released from prison in Pakistan after his parents appealed against his sentencing for killing his sister by strangulation for posting ‘suggestive’ pictures on Facebook.

The brother, Muhammad Waseem killed his sister in 2016 and said he had no remorse but was released because of clauses in the Pakistani Islamic laws that allows a killer to be freed if families of the victim appeal.

In this case, the family is his own parents and after his release, the mother of Waseem the killer and the well-known model, actress and social media star Anwar Bibi, welcomed the court order, The Guardian reported. “I am happy over the acquittal of my son, but we are still sad for our daughter’s loss,” she said.
