Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, Terengganu Chief Minister and PAS Vice President, has been confirmed as the new Chairman of Perikatan Nasional (PN) following the resignation of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

His appointment received strong backing from Hamzah Zainudin and 18 other MPs, including current and former Bersatu leaders. In a joint statement, they described the move as a serious consolidation, proving PN’s readiness to serve the people.
Among the supporters were Ronald Kiandee, Mas Ermieyati Samsudin, Saifuddin Abdullah, and Wan Saiful Wan Jan. The PN Supreme Council reportedly reached the decision unanimously in under 30 minutes, cementing Ahmad Samsuri’s leadership.
