Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh has accused DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke of hypocrisy over the Penang flag blunder, claiming Loke pre-empted the Attorney-General’s decision by calling it a mistake. Using racial overtones, Akmal alleged DAP, MCA and similar groups always protect each other. He also revealed Terengganu Umno Youth had issued a poster with missing stripes on the Jalur Gemilang, admitting it was their error and urging police action. Akmal insisted that “wrong is still wrong” even within his own camp, contrasting it with what he called Loke’s selective standards, reigniting political and racial tensions online.
“We’re cancelling that class, but I will still come this Thursday, because we want to see Loke put up that flag, whether he does it correctly or not.” – Akmal
