The action and dance style along with the song ‘Alamak Raya Lagi’ which has become a trend among Muslim women can lead to illegal acts if the body forms are exposed, says the Mufti of Terengganu, Dr Mohamad Sabri Harun.
He advised women to avoid such dancing acts, seen as degrading, particularly when they do the ‘joget’ part. What the Mufti means is there should be restraint and the body should be covered the Muslim way. In no way did he say the women should not sing the song, but follow the customs of not exposing the body part.
