PETALING JAYA: Amanah has called on the Education Ministry to issue clear guidelines on activities allowed in schools after a brawl erupted during a fundraiser dinner involving an alcohol auction at a Pekan Nanas school. Amanah’s Azli Yusof said organising events involving alcohol on school grounds is inappropriate and undermines schools’ roles in instilling noble values. He urged guidelines that emphasise safety, moral sensitivity, and respect for Malaysia’s multi-religious society. Azli stressed that schools must remain sacred places to nurture knowledgeable, ethical, and responsible future generations. No students or teachers were involved in the incident.
