An Emirates Plane Flew 14 Hours With A Hole On The Side

‘There was a loud bang and I felt it through the floor as well,’ says one passenger who was on the Emirates Airbus A380 flight to Brisbane and passengers saw a big hole in the gouged into the side of the plane after it landed in Australia.

The Airbus A380 had been flying for nearly 14 hours from Emirates’ main hub in Dubai, with some passengers reporting that the incident occurred during or shortly after takeoff.

The incident occurred on flight EK430 on 1 July and pilots had contacted Air Traffic Control at Brisbane Airport shortly before landing to report that they suspected they had blown a tyre on take-off.
