Tan Sri Annuar Musa has delivered a stinging rebuke to UMNO’s “Rumah Bangsa” initiative, dismissing the platform for expelled and suspended members as a mere rebranding of the same leadership that discarded him. Speaking at the Selangor PAS Youth election machinery launch, the former UMNO stalwart—who held membership number 0000000124—recalled being purged without notice or a chance to defend himself after 45 years of service.
Rumah Bangsa?
Annuar clarified that he has found his definitive political home in PAS, a decision he reached while in Makkah in 2023. He criticized UMNO for abandoning Malay-Muslim unity in favor of a partnership with PH and DAP. Stating he is content with his current role in PAS, Annuar argued that while “Rumah Bangsa” is a new brand, the “owners” remain unchanged, rendering the invitation hollow. He concluded that his priority remains the struggle for Islam and the Malay people under a platform rooted in religious and educational foundations.
