DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has urged party members not to be swayed by external pressure or provocation over calls to leave the unity government. Speaking at the Melaka DAP Convention, Loke said decisions will be made based on the party’s own considerations and in the interest of voters.

He noted that Melaka DAP chairman Khoo Poay Tiong and delegates would debate the matter before reporting to the Central Executive Committee. His remarks followed a challenge by Umno Youth chief Muhamad Akmal Saleh for DAP to resign in Melaka. Loke stressed that DAP would not rush into decisions or be influenced by provocations.
