Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has allocated RM1 million to the Kuala Lumpur Football Association (KLFA) to revitalise football in the capital. Speaking at KLFA’s 50th Golden Jubilee celebration, Anwar stressed the importance of infrastructure alongside funding to develop football, urging collaboration with the Education and Higher Education Ministries for proper training facilities and academies. He also called for sportsmanship among supporters, warning against unruly behaviour that tarnishes unity. Anwar directed police to monitor incidents harming football’s image. KLFA announced collaborations with the Education and Youth and Sports Ministries to enhance football at school and coaching levels.
