Anwar’s Cabinet Shake-Up Looms After Sabah Polls

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to announce a Cabinet reshuffle in December, following the Sabah state election. Analysts say the move is aimed at filling key vacancies and strengthening the unity government with credible new faces. 

Anwar’s Cabinet Shake-Up Looming? 

Outgoing MITI minister Tengku Zafrul’s replacement is seen as crucial, alongside vacancies left by Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad. 

Names floated include Khairy Jamaluddin and Johari Abdul Ghani. While early elections are dismissed as unlikely, the reshuffle is viewed as a chance to signal reform, balance coalition interests, and reassure investors of Malaysia’s political and economic stability.
