Meanwhile, deputy PM Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has said he want a new bill in parliament to ensure that governments formed by one big party or a coalition should remain in power for 5 years and that would stop instability and changes in government like we have seen during the COVID-19 period. Meanwhile, Amanah Negara Nasional’s Women’s Wing (AWAN) is calling for the tabling of a ‘Fixed-term Parliament Act’ to ensure political stability and ward off any attempt to topple a Federal government every time it is formed.
