KUALA LUMPUR – Umno division chiefs will hold an emergency meeting this Thursday to pressure Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim into implementing a royal addendum for Najib Razak’s house arrest, a senior Umno leader revealed. The meeting at a Bukit Bintang hotel will demand Anwar take responsibility, as the attorney-general advises the government. Meanwhile, PKR’s Rafizi Ramli questioned critics over whether they would now seek deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar’s suspension after she joined the Malaysian Bar’s march for judicial independence. Nurul Izzah expressed concerns over judicial interference following leaks involving a judge’s aide police report and Judicial Appointments Commission minutes.
