Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has expressed his willingness to discuss the royal addendum concerning former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak with Umno leaders to maintain national harmony. His statement comes after 160 out of 191 Umno division chiefs urged Anwar to implement the royal order immediately, which would allow Najib to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest. Wangsa Maju Umno chief Shafei Abdullah emphasised that the Pahang palace confirmed the addendum’s existence in a letter dated January 4, alongside the Court of Appeal’s validation on January 6.
