ASEAN member states have been urged to deepen collaboration in agriculture and forestry through regional platforms. At the ASEAN Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry (AMAF) meeting in Manila, Malaysia’s delegation led by Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu supported the adoption of the ASEAN Food, Agriculture and Forestry-Sectoral Plan 2026–2030.

Two key deliverables under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025—the Leaders’ Declaration and Cooperation Framework toward 2045—will be tabled at the upcoming ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur.
