Leaders from ASEAN, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and China have jointly condemned attacks on civilians in Gaza and called for a lasting ceasefire. In a statement issued after their inaugural summit, they urged all parties to avoid targeting civilians and to allow unrestricted humanitarian aid and restoration of essential services.

The statement supported the role of the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), called for the release of hostages and detainees, and reaffirmed commitment to a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders. The leaders also acknowledged mediation efforts by Qatar, China, and Saudi Arabia to achieve peace and stability.
