PSL is part of GP Group, a multinational conglomerate with roots dating back to 1860 when the family began in India’s rice trade before expanding to Myanmar and Thailand.
Over generations, the Shahs diversified into shipping, pharmaceuticals, mining, aviation, and technology. Today, Nishita Shah, daughter of Kirit Shah, leads the group, which Forbes Thailand ranked 34th richest in 2025 with a net worth of US$945 million.
