19-month-old baby in Malaysia diagnosed with ovarian cancer

1 min read

In Malaysia, 19-month-old Daneen Auni Riksi has been diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer, a rare condition for someone so young. Her mother, Fallarystia Sintom, noticed something was wrong in August when Daneen experienced constipation, a bloated stomach, and constant discomfort. After a dramatic drop in blood count, doctors discovered a 13.5 cm tumor. Daneen underwent surgery on Oct 2, losing her right ovary, and is set to begin chemotherapy. Her father, Riksi Tahir, has publicly appealed for donations to cover medical costs, as the family faces uncertainty over the hospital bill while praying for Daneen’s recovery.
