The Malaysian Indian People’s Party (MIPP) must fully understand PAS’s principles and struggles before making political assessments, said PAS Central DHPP Information Chief, Dr Balachandran Gopal Krishnan. His remarks came in response to MIPP President Punithan Paramsiven, who stated PAS has the potential to lead Malaysia in the future but not in the near term, as non-Malay voters are not yet ready to embrace the party.

Dr Balachandran thanked Punithan for acknowledging PAS’s leadership potential but stressed that MIPP should focus on strengthening its own credibility before commenting. He highlighted PAS’s decades of political experience, proven state governance, and grassroots strength, adding that the party consistently demonstrates integrity and service without compromising its core principles.
