KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 17, 2026 – Parti Bersama Malaysia has suspended Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad from all official party activities for three months, effective Oct 20, following his admission of involvement in an incident linked to a raid by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais).
The party said the decision was made after Nik Nazmi publicly confirmed he was the man found with a woman who was not his muhrim in an enclosed space during a raid in Petaling Jaya on Oct 15.

In a statement issued on behalf of the party, Syukri Razab said Bersama viewed the matter seriously and stressed that issues involving party leaders and members must be handled appropriately to safeguard the party’s integrity, credibility and public confidence.
The suspension will remain in effect until Jan 19, 2027.
Bersama said the move was necessary and reasonable, while acknowledging Nik Nazmi’s contributions and commitment since the party’s relaunch in May this year.
