Five more leaders from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) have been expelled effective immediately, hours after the sacking of former deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin. The expelled members include Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal, Gerik MP Fathul Huzir Ayob, and Padang Rengas MP Azahari Hasan.

The party’s Disciplinary Board cited violations of Clause 9.1.4, which mandates compliance with the party constitution and code of ethics. Wan Ahmad Fayhsal was already serving a suspension. The expelled members have 14 days to appeal. This purge follows growing internal friction, including calls for president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to resign.
