Bersih Presses For Parliament Opening

Kuala Lumpur: In a statement, Bersih’s steering committee says after more than a year living with Covid-19, suspending and postponing the Parliament should no longer be the answer.

It says the institution is a vital check and balance mechanism for the country to continue functioning properly.

The ruling coalition, Perikatan Nasional is accused of holding off a no-confidence vote against PM Muhyiddin Yassin. Rumours are there will be a Parliament sitting next week to vote on the PM’s majority.
