Bitcoin Falls Below US$80,000 Amid Market Volatility

Bitcoin fell below US$80,000 (RM357,000) today for the first time in over three months as a sell-off in the cryptocurrency sector intensified amid global market volatility. It dropped to US$79,525.88 in early Asian trade, its lowest since November 11, and significantly down from the record above US$109,000 last month.

The decline follows gains after Donald Trump’s election victory, but recent policy moves have dampened the euphoria. Concerns over potential inflation and a slowing US economy have also contributed to the drop. The Federal Reserve’s interest rate decisions will be closely watched.
