Alongside the mining rigs, authorities confiscated modems, routers, and connection cables. Investigations revealed the illegal setups caused thousands of ringgit in monthly losses to TNB, disrupted local power supply, and posed fire hazards.
The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code and Section 37(1) of the Electricity Supply Act 1990. Authorities are urging the public to share any relevant information.
