Barisan Nasional (BN) is confident its partnership with Pakatan Harapan (PH) can secure continued success in upcoming elections. BN chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi highlighted increased majorities in the Mahkota and Ayer Kuning by-elections as proof of the alliance’s strength.
BN Eyes Malay Support Beyond Party Lines Ahead of GE16
Zahid urged party members to embrace cooperation and not pursue a solo path, calling the PH alliance a winning formula. UMNO Perak chief Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad added that outreach to non-party voters, especially Malays outside UMNO’s circle, is key for the next general election. The goal, he said, is to reaffirm UMNO as a champion of Malay rights.
