The body of 36-year-old JUPEM surveyor Donysius Gabriel Goh was recovered from a river near the Malaysia-Brunei border, ten days after he went missing. Goh was swept away by strong currents on March 17 while performing official boundary demarcation duties in the Ulu Temburong area.
Missing Surveyor
Minister Arthur Joseph Kurup confirmed the body was found 500 meters from the disappearance site. The recovery involved an extensive international SAR operation, including the Royal Brunei Air Force and Gurkha regiment. Goh, survived by his wife and two children, is being honored for his “exceptional dedication” to national service.
