Bursa Malaysia Bhd and its subsidiaries will be closed on Feb 17 and Feb 18, 2026, marking public holidays in conjunction with Chinese New Year celebrations, before resuming operations on Feb 19 (Thursday). This was announced by market authorities to allow investors and workers to observe the festive break.

Investors should note that no trading or clearing activities will take place on the two public holidays, and market participants are advised to adjust their trading plans and settlement expectations accordingly.

The holiday closure comes as markets prepare for renewed activity later this week, with analysts saying that local and global cues will shape renewed trading sentiment upon the exchange’s return.
