It seems that kids today are not entirely focused on their exams as they are not as “hyped up” as UPSR or PT3. Standardized examinations are a way for us to properly analyze students and their understanding towards a certain topic.
Netizens urging UPSR and PT3 to come back
An X user states that their nephew in Form 1, who is 13-years-old, does not even know basic multiplications. Prior to this, those sitting for the standardized exams would have been studying their way through in order to get good grades.
Another person suggested that if those who failed badly, they should retain the standard or form they are in for another year. This will ensure that they put in more effort to pass their exams as they would definitely not want to stay in the same grade for years.
