New: Cheongsams among 500 pieces of vintage clothes collected by woman

Lin Tong, a 32-year-old public servant, embraces her passion for sewing, vintage clothing, and cheongsams, influenced by her mother. Starting a decade ago, she combines her hobby with occasional commission work. Lin draws inspiration from her extensive collection of over 500 vintage pieces, spending over S$20,000. Actively involved in Golden Scissor Cheongsam, she values mid-century styles, particularly from the 1950s and 1960s. Lin believes in retaining clothes based on personal enjoyment and purpose, emphasizing that fashion may be cyclical, but one’s taste remains constant.
