The unresolved debate over “Which came first, the chicken or the egg?” resulted in a man’s death in Indonesia. On July 24, in South Sulawesi, two men, DR and Kadir Marku, met while drinking and began discussing the age-old question.

The debate turned violent when DR, frustrated by Marku’s inability to answer, retrieved a dagger from his house and stabbed Marku 15 times near a church. Marku was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries. DR surrendered to the police, and the incident is being investigated as a murder.
