New: Chinese Artist Completes Fan Bingbing Mural at Jonker Walk

(Malacca, 9 June) Ren DaCheng, a 30-year-old artist from Tianjin, China, completed a mural of actress Fan Bingbing at Jonker Walk, Malacca. Ren, known for his portraits of Fan, was invited to enhance the mural initially painted by local council workers on 7 June. Ren, familiar with Fan’s features, focused on her eyes, mouth, and added vibrant colors depicting her role in “Empress of China.”

This project represents a cultural exchange between Chinese and Malaysian artists. Fan Bingbing, set to be appointed as the tourism ambassador for Visit Melaka 2024, will inaugurate the mural on 14 June at Jonker Walk.
