Civil Servant Arrested For Possession of Items from Batang Kali Victim

Batang Kali, civil servant arrested in possession of items belonging to victims of the Batang Kali disaster. The civil servant was arrested to assist in the investigation of a theft case involving property belonging to a landslide victim at the Father’s Organic Farm campsite on Jalan Batang Kali-Genting, here. The landslide happened on 16 December.

Acting Selangor Police Chief, Datuk S Sasikala Devi said the 27-year-old man was arrested around the Klang Valley, yesterday. “During the arrest, we also seized items believed to belong to the victims (of the landslide case).”

An application for remand against the suspect will be made today to assist the investigation according to Section 379 of the Penal Code,” at a press conference at the Ampang Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD).
