A classified report from the Home Ministry’s Special Task Force (STF) revealed that social activist Amri Che Mat and Pastor Raymond Koh may have been abducted by rogue police officers. The report, presented in the Kuala Lumpur High Court, suggests these officers acted independently, possibly with outside religious groups. Both Amri and Koh disappeared between late 2016 and early 2017, with the Suhakam Commission ruling in 2019 that they were victims of enforced disappearances. Koh’s family has filed a lawsuit seeking his whereabouts, with the STF recommending further investigation into the involvement of several police officers.
