COE Premiums Mostly Higher in Latest Bidding

SINGAPORE, Aug 20 — Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums closed mostly higher in the latest bidding exercise. For Category A cars, prices rose for the first time in three rounds, climbing 3.7% to S$128,501 from S$123,890. Category B cars also saw premiums edge up 0.8% to S$131,001.

Commercial vehicle COEs fell 1.7% to S$90,002, while motorcycle premiums jumped 7.6% to S$11,301. Open category COEs, mainly used for larger cars, rose for the fifth consecutive exercise by 3% to S$135,000.

COE Premiums

A total of 4,515 bids were received against a quota of 3,205 COEs. For August to October, the quota has been slightly raised to 19,085, a 0.2% increase from the previous quarter.
