This is applicable only to Saji’s 5kg cooking oil, it is unclear if other palm oil cooking oil brands have gone down in price as well. Netizens are more than happy to see these prices drop as they are considered as a daily essential.
Cooking oil prices to stay low
A netizen responded to the tweet sarcastically stating that it is dangerous for the prices to go down. He went on stating that PAS will surely get excited and would gather around Padang Merbok to collect them all and blame DAP for the price decrease.
Others are concerned if food prices would remain the same or would they go down now that the essentials are more affordable. Questions raised on the sudden price decrease, but others replied blaming the previous administration for not taking care of the prices and letting them inflate.
