CHUKAI: Police have arrested a couple in connection with the discovery of an abandoned baby boy in a chicken shop on Jalan Jabur Kubur. Kemaman Police Chief, Superintendent Hanyan Ramlan, reported that a 21-year-old woman was first arrested at 11am after police found a suspicious photo on her phone during a house-to-house inspection within a kilometer of the discovery site.

Couple arrested
The woman admitted to abandoning the baby, whom she gave birth to on May 12 at her lover’s house. Later, at 3pm, police arrested a 24-year-old man in Bandar Chukai related to the case.
