Manjung: A fight over property is suspected to be the cause of an elderly man willing to kill a married couple using a palm scythe in an incident at a palm plantation area near Pantai Remis. The 61-year-old suspect is the bapak saudara of one of the victim and has been arrested. The two victims were both aged 74. The incident is suspected to be caused by a dispute over property which led to a fight between the 61-year-old suspect and the two victims.

The victim’s body was found in the palm grove area and sent to the Forensic Unit, Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB) Ipoh for an autopsy. The police arrested the suspect and will be brought to the Seri Manjung Magistrate’s Court tomorrow for a remand application for further investigation, a statement from the Manjung police say.
